A restore point is a lot like the "undo" commands you find in many software programs.

When you install a new program—for example, a new game or a software update—the program makes changes to your computer.

If these changes make your computer run in an irregular or unstable way, you can use a Windows restore point and "undo" the changes—and restore your system to an earlier, more stable state.

Restoring replaces your computer's current files and settings with those from a previous time. Doing this does not affect your personal data files.

Important When you use a restore to roll back to a previous configuration, you remove any system changes that were made since the restore point.

When you install Network Magic, its setup program creates what is called an installation restore point (named Installed Network Magic). And, if you uninstall Network Magic, its setup program creates a second restore point, named Removed Network Magic).
